1. 登山涉水。谓旅途艰苦。

   《诗·鄘风·载驰》：“大夫跋涉，我心则忧。” 毛 传：“草行曰跋，水行曰涉。” 宋 曾敏行 《独醒杂志》卷八：“朕久望卿来，何其迟也。涂中跋涉不易？” 叶圣陶 《我们的骄傲》：“我这么想着，就问他一路跋涉该受了很多辛苦吧。”

2. 谓涉足于泥水之中艰难行走。
