汉语拼音：shén tōng

原为佛教用语，指无所不能的力量。后指极其高明的本领：～广大。大显～。

1. 谓通过神灵而感应沟通。

   三国 魏 曹植 《陈审举表》：“昔 伊尹 之为媵臣，至贱也； 吕尚 之处屠钓，至陋也；及其见举於 汤武 、 周文 ，诚道合志同，玄謨神通。”

2. 指预见，先见之明。

   唐 杨炯 《中书令汾阴公薛振行状》：“又上疏陈请备塞垣，未几而 匈奴 背诞，公有神通之鉴也，不亦明乎！”

3. 佛教语。梵文的意译。亦译作“神通力”、“神力”。谓佛、菩萨、阿罗汉等通过修持禅定所得到的神秘法力。

   《大萨遮尼乾子所说经·如来无过功德品》：“何者如来神通智行？答言：大王！沙门 瞿曇 神通行有六种：一者，天眼通；二者，天耳通；三者，他心通；四者，宿命通；五者，如意通；六者，漏尽通。” 唐 玄奘 《大唐西域记·朅盘陀国》：“时 朅盘陀国 有大罗汉，遥观见之，愍其危戹，欲运神通拯斯沦溺。” 宋 苏轼 《六观堂赞》：“我观众生，神通自在。” 清 龚自珍 《最录禅波罗蜜门》：“有《摩訶止观》百轨则在，至此书归墟，在乎神通，观息亦得通，观身亦得通。”

4. 泛指神奇高超的本领。

   晋 干宝 《搜神记》卷一：“ 左慈 ，字 元放 ， 庐江 人也，少有神通。” 宋 朱敦儒 《减字木兰花》词：“超凡入妙，游戏神通随意到。” 清 袁枚 《新齐谐·白石精》：“现在缠汝者是 西山 白石之精，神通絶大。” 赵朴初 《西江月·参观密云水库工程》词：“翻天覆地看吾儔，信有神通在手！”
