3. 用来表示纪念的物品。

   唐 张鷟 《游仙窟》：“遂唤奴 曲琴 ，取相思枕留与 十娘 ，以为记念。”《三国演义》第二七回：“更以路费征袍赠之，使之为后日记念。”

4. 犹记诵。

   《神僧传·一行》：“ 玄宗 闻之，召令入内，谓曰：‘卿何能？’对曰：‘善记览。’ 玄宗 因召掖庭取宫人籍以示之。周览既毕，覆其本，记念精熟，如素所习读。” 唐 李商隐 有《谢先辈防记念拙诗甚多异日偶有此寄》诗。
