即黄鼬。俗称黄鼠狼。尾长、四肢短。栖息林中水边、田间以及多石的平原等处，以鼠、小鸟及昆虫为食，也袭击家禽。肛门近旁有臭腺一对，能放出臭气用以御敌。在我国分布颇广。毛皮可做衣帽，尾毛可制笔。
