1.遮挡。

2.军事上指遮住目标，防止敌人发现。主要方法有利用地形、设置遮障、进行迷彩伪装、施放烟幕、使用角反射器等。

1. 亦作“ 遮萆 ”。遮挡；阻拦。

   《朱子语类》卷一三一：“然 豫 挟虏人以为重，今且得 豫 遮蔽虏人，我之被祸犹小；若取 刘豫 ，则我独当虏人，难矣。”《禅真逸史》第二十回：“忙打点茶汤药饵，又令人倚树张盖遮蔽，众皆环立看守。” 曹禺 《北京人》第一幕：“事实上 愫方 哀怜他，沉默地庇护他，多少忧烦的事隐瞒着他，为他遮蔽大大小小无数次的风雨。”

2. 指用来遮挡的东西。

   清 刘献廷 《广阳杂记》卷四：“盖 龟山 之首，走 江 中数百步，而 大江 横过其下，左右无遮蔽，与市廛稍远，纵目所之，山水之情与精神融洽。”

3. 犹庇护。

   《古今小说·羊角哀舍命全交》：“ 伯桃 曰：‘阴雨之中，得蒙遮蔽，更兼一饮一食，感佩何忘！’”

4. 掩盖；掩饰。

   明 唐顺之 《答俞教谕书》：“一毫不自遮蔽，一毫不使潜伏。” 清 李渔 《比目鱼·巧会》：“露原形，休遮蔽，破羣疑，销惊悸。”

5. 遮盖；遮住。

   巴金 《砂丁》：“希望永远在我们的前面，就在阴云遮蔽了整个天空的时候，我也不会悲观。” 茅盾 《三人行》二：“阅报室内只有她一个。两手举起一张报纸，遮蔽着她的脸。” 李瑛 《红柳集·献花》：“这坟墓长年被花草遮蔽，这坟墓四季散发着清香。”

6. 遮藏；隐蔽。

   严复 《原强》：“其一时告奋将弁，半皆无赖小人，覬覦所支餉项而已。至於临事，且不知有哨探之用、遮萆之方。” 何其芳 《老百姓和军队·第四封信》：“我们行军都是靠黑夜来遮蔽。” 郭风 《叶笛》：“它的房屋遮蔽在树荫中，露出白墙和丛生着瓦菲的屋檐。”
