   汉 西域 诸国之一。位于 天山 南麓。又作 鸠兹 、 屈茨 、 归兹 、 屈支 、 丘兹 等。古 龟兹 国王治 延城 。居民主要务农，兼营畜牧，冶铸、酿酒等也较发达。有文字，擅长音乐。《汉书·西域传下·龟兹国》：“ 龟兹国 ，王治 延城 。”《隋书·音乐志下》：“《龟兹》者，起自 吕光 灭 龟兹 ，因得其声。 吕氏 亡，其乐分散， 后魏 平中原，復获之。其声后多变易。至 隋 有《西国龟兹》、《齐朝龟兹》、《土龟兹》等，凡三部。” 唐 元稹 《连昌宫词》：“逡巡大遍《凉州》彻，色色《龟兹》轰録续。” 清 陈维崧 《赠歌者陈郎》诗：“天涯踪跡半旗亭，谱遍《龟兹》不忍听。”

2. 古乐曲名。原为 龟兹 一带的地方乐曲。
