1.球类运动项目之一。在特制的台子（一般长4米、宽2米）上用杆击球。有司诺克、三球落袋、四球撞击和美式四种形式的比赛。

2.台球运动使用的球。实心，多用塑胶制成。

台球 [tái qiú]

1. 室内球类游戏。按使用的台盘和球的不同，可分落袋台球、彩色台球和四球台球三种。比赛规则和计分方法各不相同。前两种以击球落袋为主要得分方法。四球台球以击双球为唯一得分法。落袋台球和四球台球均以先达约定分数者为胜，而彩色台球以台盘上全部红球和彩色球被送入袋内后，再以各方所得分数多少定胜负。
