1. 战国 楚 宋玉 《高唐赋》序：“昔者先王尝游 高唐 ，怠而昼寝，梦见一妇人，曰：‘妾 巫山 之女也，为 高唐 之客，闻君游 高唐 ，愿荐枕蓆。’王因幸之。去而辞曰：‘妾在 巫山 之阳，高丘之岨，旦为朝云，暮为行雨，朝朝暮暮， 阳臺 之下。’”后遂以“阳臺”指男女欢会之所。

   唐 李商隐 《寄永道士》诗：“共上云山独下迟， 阳臺 白道细如丝。” 朱鹤龄 注：“《真誥》：‘ 王屋山 ，仙之别天，所谓 阳臺 是也。始得道者，皆诣 阳臺 ，是清虚之宫也。’” 刘学锴 案：“‘ 阳臺 白道’即 王屋山 上之细径。”参见“ 王屋 ”。
