荠（学名：Capsella bursa-pastoris (Linn.) Medic.）十字花科荠属一年生或二年生草本植物，高可达50厘米，茎直立，基生叶丛生呈莲座状，叶柄长5~40毫米，茎生叶窄披针形或披针形，总状花序顶生及腋生，萼片长圆形，花瓣白色，花果期4~6月。荠生长在山坡、田边及路旁，野生，偶有栽培。中国各省区均有分布，全世界温带地区广泛分布。

荠可全草入药，茎叶作蔬菜食用，种子含油，供制油漆及肥皂用。
