味觉器官。由味觉细胞和支持细胞所组成的卵圆形小体。分布于舌乳头、腭、咽等处。味蕾顶端有一小孔，开口于表面，接受味觉刺激。溶解的食物进入味孔时，味觉细胞受刺激而兴奋，经神经传到大脑而产生味觉。
