汉语拼音：shī zi lín

园林名。在江苏苏州。为苏州四大古名园之一。1342年天如禅师为纪念其师中峰禅师建菩提正宗寺，后易名狮林寺。1747年改称画禅寺。寺后花园即狮子林。因园中怪石似狮，又因中峰曾结茅天目山狮子岩，故名。布局东南多山，西北多水，尤以假山著称，亭阁廊轩依山傍水，景致宜人。

1. 江苏省 苏州市 四大名园之一。原为 元 代 天如 禅师讲道之所， 清 乾隆 间重修扩建。园内布以假山，洞壑幽邃，盘曲迂回，奇峰怪石或如形态各异的狮子，故名。

   清 赵翼 《同蓉溪芷堂游狮子林题壁》诗：“人间乃有 狮子林 ，一亩中藏百里阔。”参阅 清 钱泳 《履园丛话·园林·狮子林》。

2. 古寺名。在 安徽省 黄山 狮子峰 。今寺毁而名其地，风景殊绝。

   叶圣陶 《黄山三天》：“住 狮子林 便于游 黄山 的北部和西部，住 文殊院 便于游中部，主要是 天都峰 和 莲花峰 。”
