矿物名。即结晶的二氧化硅（SiO2）。是多种岩石和沙子的重要成分，有许多变种。一般白色或无色透明，质硬而脆，化学性质稳定，难熔，膨胀系数小。是做玻璃的主要原料，也可用作压电材料、建筑材料等。透明晶体称水晶。
