比喻的一种，明显地用另外的事物来比拟某事物，表示两者之间的相似关系。常用“如”、“像”、“似”、“好像”、“像…似的”、“如同”、“好比”等比喻词，如“此时心情，正像这无水的枯井”。

1. 明白的比方。

   唐 元稹 《捉捕歌》：“畏君听未详，听客有明喻。”

2. 明白地说出。

   清 陈廷焯 《白雨斋词话》卷六：“婉讽之谓比，明喻则非。”

3. 比喻的一种。表明本体事物“像”喻体事物的修辞关系。本体和喻体之间，一般有喻词“似”、“若”、“像”、“如同”、“好比”等。如“ 鲁迅 的杂文似匕首，如投枪，直刺敌人的心脏”就是明喻。
